Breast augmentation, also known as breast enlargement, is used to increase the size of a woman's breasts by inserting breast implants to augment a woman's own breast tissue. Breast augmentation can be used to enhance one's figure; as a reconstructive option after breast surgery; to balance out differently sized breasts (asymmetric breasts), or simply to better balance the contours and shape of one's body.

Breast enlargement is a surgical procedure used to enhance the shape and size of a woman's breasts. Most commonly, women choose breast augmentation to improve their contour when they feel that their breast size is too small. Another common motiviation is to correct a deflation in breast size after pregnancy with or without breast feeding, or to balance breasts that are asymmetrical (different sizes.)
